The nursery

One of the largest growers of British native plants in the UK. Trusted year after year.

We have been in operation since 1986. Thousands of customers trust us to provide the highest quality plants year after year.

Seed has been collected from our stock plants or from donor sites. We can help you choose the correct species for your scheme or assist in biodiversity planning and BREEAM accreditation.

Applications

Biodiversity is both the number of species in a place and the wildlife those plants then attract.

Wildflowers are being used more and more these days to complement and replace traditional designs, especially for green roofs and sustainable urban drainage schemes (SUDS).

    Biodiversity enhancement

Often wildflowers are under specified and only a small number of species considered. We can advise on many more, and on plants for specific insect and mammal habitats.

  2. A wildflower green roof above a row of garage doors
    02

    Green roofs

Traditionally this was sedum matting, often from foreign sources. Many designers now see the benefits of wildflower plug-planted green roofs, and we supply many of the large green roof installers.

  3. Trays of young reed plugs
    03

    Reed beds and SUDS

Treat grey water by passing it through a reed bed. The plants strip nutrients and pollutants, including heavy metals. We grow common reed, the traditional plant for these systems.
